This is one of the great family mysteries....

Which photo is Thomas Anderson Carlisle and which one is James Glenn Carlisle?

 
As long as I can remember, I have been told that this is Thomas Anderson Carlisle.
We have family photos from M.A. Carlisle and Mary Emma Carlisle Kennedy.
It is written on these photos, "My Grandfather, Thomas Anderson Carlisle".


  
On this photo is written,  "James (Jimmie) Glenn Carlisle".



I had no reason to doubt this family information, until I received this article....


  

The article states that the picture shown above hangs in the
First Methodist Church of that town until this day. (1995 article.)
I would have to believe that the church picture shows Jimmie and the
family info is incorrect.  Have anything to add?  PLEASE contact me.
